All these oils are obtained by cold squeezing so as to leave unchanged the content of essential fatty acids and vitamins. A product designed to provide a balanced supply of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, in which Ω-6 and Ω-3 are present in a ratio of 5: 1 (ideal ratio as reported by recent studies). Fatty acids Ω-9, contained in olive oil, play an effective synergistic action with the OMEGA-3 and OMEGA-6 series fatty acids. The antioxidant action of vitamin E plays two fundamental functions, on the one hand it meets the increased vitamin requirement associated with increased intake of unsaturated fatty acids, on the other it protects the lipids of the biological membranes from damage caused by free radicals.
